The Belmont hotel is a fantastic place to stay. From the moment i arrived i was greeted by a friendly receptionist with a big smile and a warm welcome. I registered, was given my key and was directed to my room which was large with big windows which let lots of natural light flood my room. My bed was extremely comfortable with freshly laundered linen bedding and great pillows to sleep on. After a wonderful comfortable night's sleep i headed down to the breakfast room which was pleasantly relaxing and comfortable. There is a vast selection of Continental foods, juices, fresh croissants, rolls meats and cheeses to choose from. Then there is a table menu with a fantastic selection of hot breakfast foods for which i opted for and i really enjoyed my choice of eggs Benedict which was extremely tasty and wholesome. The waiting staff were friendly, helpful and informative. I departed the Belmont hotel feeling i should have booked a longer stay but with the mind on returning very soon. I highly recommend the Belmont hotel in Leicester for a wonderful and fantastic place to stay, relax unwind and enjoy the splendorous surroundings.

There is lots to like about this hotel. Pease read to the end, the bit about the staff, Firstly it's less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and about 20 minutes to the city centre. The hotel itself is a magnificent old building, well kept on the outside and lovely on the inside, right on the edge of New Walk a traffic free, tree lined avenue. The bedroom offered all you need and the bathroom alone was as big as some hotel bedrooms. Breakfast included possibly the tastiest sausage and bacon we've ever eaten. And last but certainly not least the staff. Special mention goes out to Hemant & Lisa on reception. Lovely people, really welcoming and ideal at front of house. If any hotel in this country has nicer people on reception, than we are get to see it. Thank you to everybody at the Belmont and well done.

The Hotel is about 20 mins walking along the lovely New Walk promenade to the city centre. It is comfortable and welcoming. It has parking which is a big plus. It is a grand victorian property. Sometimes a little tired in the rooms but has a grandeur that the newer hotels do not have. It has a comfortable bar and terrace which is nice to lounge which are well decorated and cosy. It is near good restaurants in the university district. I would say it is good value for money. The breakfast was good. Whenever I come to Leicester I stay here now. I have tried several of the others but for my needs this is the best option

There was a lovely feel to this hotel from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and tried to accommodate us to check in early (we were not able to but we weren’t expecting to either) they took our bags and dealt with them whilst we waited. The bar in the evening was great, lovely selection of drinks. The restaurant and food was superb. The guy running the restaurant worked so hard to make sure everyone was comfortable so well done to him! Breakfast was great and a fantastic selection. Rooms were comfortable I got a great nights sleep in the bed. All in all a great stay and would return in a heartbeat!

The location is great for De Montfort Hall concerts. A safe short walk away. Very quiet location along a pathway. Free parking and the hotel let me keep the car there for a while after I had checked out. The room was huge, extremely comfortable, with features / facilities that you don’t see in many hotels now. The sumptuous decor was a lovely change to modern hotels. Wonderfully high ceilings, it was a very spacious room and light filled bathroom. The hotel has a lift, although my room (222) was down a small staircase. The hallways are being refurbished at the moment. I would stay again.
